Information Alone Cannot Save Us

Excerpt from Let Food Be Thy Gift

Information Alone Cannot Save Us

Information alone will never give us what we need to become healthy because no amount of information has the power to transform us or make us whole. Transformation is a mysterious process that reminds us of who we are and how we are designed to be and live. The transformational process is not so much an informative process but a divine process that uses information, education and so much more to set us free.

Information is important but it is not education. Education uses information in later stages but in the earliest stages of development, education creates a safe space to be, to reveal and to develop our truths, talents and skills while flaming the embers of creativity, passion and desire. Education helps us to know who we are, our purpose, our place, and how to participate in true relationships with ourselves, our neighbors and our world. This knowing or shall we say knowledge is necessary to create the space to receive and give the gift of wisdom, a gift which flows from the alchemizing of our experience, joy, sorrow, strength, weakness, hope, knowledge and flow through our wholeness, health, holiness and our human being design.

For transformation to happen, we need the space for personal alchemy. Information, education and knowledge can help to create the willingness and space that we need for our truths, experience, strength and hope to transform into wisdom, and then wisdom can do it’s magic to transform our choices, habits and lives.

Although transformation is a mysterious process that we cannot control, we CAN participate in transformation by creating the space to be known and accepted. This means we must be honest and loving with ourselves and others. We must give truth and love a chance to do what they are designed to do and that is to transform us and set us free to live the way are designed to be healthy, whole, holy and human.
