What if I am never enough
And you’re not enough
Or enough is too much
Or we will never be enough
Or there can never be enough
To make us feel like we are enough
But what if that’s the point
And we are not enough
And in confessing our not enoughness
We discover we are enough
To receive more than enough
Of everything we need
Like grace, love, truth
Hope, joy, wisdom
Mercy and forgiveness
Peace, patience, kindness
Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
And self-control.
Wouldn’t these things be enough
To set you free from trying to get enough
To prove you are enough?
Wouldn’t these things be enough
To set you free to live your life
Whatever happens?
