In 1970, Wendell Berry identified what we call FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)… the modern day angst of consumers that drives the total economy, feeds our addiction to social media, moves us to curate the acceptable consumer lifestyles, fuels our indifference toward creation and it’s creatures, drives us to compete with our neighbors, justifies the use of all things as a means to our own selfish ends and blinds us to our own ignorance and arrogance.
