God didn’t make girls

God didn’t make girls
For boys
To find their worth in men
Or to be given their worth by men

God didn’t make girls
To be a man’s emotional tampon
To get them to church
To complete men
To satisfy their superficial pleasures
To entertain or tolerate any form of objectification
To justify their existence
Or make them feel better about their arrogance or ignorance.

God did not make girls
To be wholly dependent on men
To raise up the man-child
To teach them how to treat women
Or respect their mothers.

God didn’t make girls
To remain girls
To reduce themselves to fit into a man’s story
To be determined by men
To reflect man’s glory
Or to solve his personal problems.

God didn’t make girls
To mature grown men
To be a replacement for their mother
Or for their porn habit.

God did not make girls
To take man’s punches
To take their compliments
Or take the minimum of time, energy, love and truth that they are willing to give.

God didn’t make girls
To absorb any form of violence
Or enable and justify being abused.

God didn’t make girls
To keep men sober
Or on the straight narrow.

God didn’t make girls
To read men’s minds
Or interpret their silence.

God didn’t make girls
To fit in a formula
To be consumed by man’s lust or anger
Or to teach our daughters
That girls need men to be
Heathy, Whole, Holy, Human Beings.
